Spring has arrived in Colorado and many of the restrictions that were in place during the pandemic are being lifted. This means that Celebrations of Life and Memorials are almost back to “normal”. As more and more people are vaccinated, and fewer Covid cases are occurring – we can be together with family and friends to comfort each other. Human connection is something we will never take for granted again. Handshakes, hugs and coming together in community is the beginning of healing during grief.
Live Streaming* is something that families embraced last year and I believe will continue to be valued going forward. Recently, I had the privilege of working with Troy Warwick. He is a real pro and produces a first-class video that can be live streamed to YouTube. Troy’s passion, talent, knowledge and state-of-the-art equipment make him remarkable! I was so impressed and wanted to share with you an example of his expertise.
The Venue certainly makes a difference along with the Internet connection. This Celebration of Life was filmed at one of my favorite locations - Cielo at Castle Pines. This Venue is spectacular, spacious and has the option of an indoor or outdoor Ceremony. Accommodating a large group or creating an intimate space for a smaller gathering. There is plenty of parking and deer are a frequent sighting amongst the trees surrounding the property.
A Celebration of Life or Memorial takes on a whole new feel with the Venue you select. Since Colorado boasts over 300 days of sunshine, the majority of services I officiate are outdoors. Fresh air, bright blue skies and being in nature are comforting elements during a time of loss. Many of us spent the last year trying to find ways to focus on something – anything other than the coronavirus pandemic. We had more time to be outdoors soaking up the sunshine, exploring our parks, bird watching and hiking new trails. Being outside is one of the best natural therapies when dealing with so many losses and emotions.
After this particular Celebration of Life, a guest approached me and said, “I’m originally from Michigan and only ever attended traditional, somber funerals in funeral homes. I didn’t know a Celebration of Life like this was even possible and in a place like this - so beautiful! This is what I want when my time comes. Thank you!”
I highly recommend Troy Warwick with Warwick Productions – Offering high quality production services to preserve the legacy of your loved one. Affordable, innovative coverage helps to perfectly celebrate and remember the lives of those who have passed on. Whether it’s by creating a video or live streaming a Celebration of Life or Memorial, we are here to help you and your loved ones cherish the memory of final goodbyes. Video and Photo services are a great way to share the day with those who aren’t able to attend the services, and celebrate a life.
