Masks are required and appropriate distancing. If there are several people speaking, I wipe down the microphone and podium with antiseptic between speakers. A frequent question seems to be, “How do I cry with a mask on?” Temporarily lower the mask to use tissues and it is a good idea to bring a second mask with you. We are all learning how to express emotions with our eyes while wearing masks. If we smile, our eyes smile, when we laugh, our eyes are laughing, opening our eyes wider indicates we are really listening, direct eye contact shows genuine concern, caring and compassion.
Levels And Capacities
Check the County where the Memorial or Celebration of Life will be held for restrictions. Visit the website COVID19 in Colorado for current updates and information. As of this writing, February 2021 – most Counties in Colorado are Level Orange. At this level, Indoor Seated Events are 25% capacity, 50-person cap, Outdoor Seated Events are 25% capacity, 75-person cap. Select the County on the map and a box appears with more Venue ideas for you. As an example, Jefferson County shows The Butterfly Pavilion and Chatfield Farms. It is confusing, because Counties can move back and forth between levels at any time. It is best to check with the Venue where the Memorial or Celebration of Life will be held for up-to-date specific criteria.
Creative Winter Venues During Covid
- Restaurant – Some restaurants have outdoor areas with patio heaters. Rent the entire restaurant or a private area for your event.
- Movie Theatre – Roll out the red carpet and rent a movie theatre for a private showing of your loved one’s favorite movie. Have a Memorial or Celebration of Life prior to show time and enjoy popcorn and beverages. Number of guests is limited to theatre capacity.
- Golf Course – There are 163 golf courses in Colorado. Locals may enjoy golfing year ‘round, however tournaments typically aren’t happening during the winter months. You’re sure to find a beautiful and amazing Golf Course Venue that’s just right for your Memorial or Celebration of Life.
